MP3Yes - Music Downloads and Ringtones

We offer all the latest information on MP3/Music downloads, MP3 Players, IPods, Ringtones for all your wireless needs (Verizon, AT&T, Nokia, Nextel, Motorola, etc).

What are Ringtones? How do I get them on my cell phone?

Ever wonder what you hear on some people's cell phones when they ring these days. Perhaps it's a James Bond theme or the latest Britney Spears songs. They are formally called Ringtones. They help customize cell phone rings to almost anything you want. Ringtones are easy to download right to your cell phone and start using. Every top wireless carrier offers these ringtones - Sprint, Nextel, Cingular, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile. The cell phone manufacturers also support ringtones on all the newest models of cellular phones - Ericsson, Motorola, Kyocera, Samsung, Nokia, LG, etc. There are online services that help users get these ringtones onto their cell phones, they are Ringophone.com, Ringtonejukebox.com, MatrixM.com, Billboard 'Hot Ringtone', MTV Mobile Ringtones, etc. The ringtones come in all varieties of music - hip hop, R&B, Top 40, Reggae, Rock, Rap, Jazz, etc. They carry all the newest ringtones from Linkin Park, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Eminem, Nickelback, Beyonce, and 100's of others. All the polyphonic tones are downloadable right to your cell phone as a data transfer.

Buying Ringtones:

Many cellular phone plans come with some add-on features like text messaging or ringtone offers each month. Look at your plan carefully to be sure you are not going to get a bill for $300 because you thought you had unlimited ringtone capabilities. Some ringtones are free, but most plans charge $.25 - $2.00 a ringtone and many plans bill you monthly regardless of whether you even downloaded any new ringtones. If you go through your wireless carrier you will get an honest deal, but some of the ringtone resellers mentioned above have recurring billing each month and unless you opt out of their programs, you will be hit each month on your cell phone bill for charges. Ideally, if you want ringtones, go with the unlimited download plans offered by several websites where you pay a monthly fee of say $14.99 but have access to their large libraries of songs and you can change out ringtones as often as you like. Be careful signing up for any subscription plan and make sure you are dealing with a "real business" that has a solid reputation!

Ringtone Checklist:

Know your cell phone manufacturer (Apple iPhone, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Ericsson, etc.)
See if your wireless carrier supports ringtones (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Nextel, Cricket, Tracfone, etc)
Know your cell phone model and make - iPhone, Motorola RAZR, etc.
Does your cellphone even accept ringtones in it's interface?
What are the costs associated with downloading ringtones to your phone? Do you have a monthly plan?
Make sure you know how to implement the ringtone after you pay for it
Cell phones only have so much storage space, so know how to delete them as well
